Enemies-to-Lovers Romance Fiction

Shakespeare did it, and so did Jane Austen. In this beloved romance trope, two characters begin as rivals or even sworn enemies, but the reader knows (and sometimes deep down the characters also know) the truth. Watch the sparks fly as these characters discover that they belong together. Note: romantic comedies also often use this set-up, so check out our Rom-Com Renaissance list for more reading suggestions.
