Claire Louise Bennett processes a recent relationship with a man significantly older than herself in this short novel which is structured and plotted more like a journal than a traditional narrative. Bennett includes stream-of-consciousness passages about quotidian tasks, moving, things about her ex-boyfriend Xavier that she couldn't stand, past relationships, and new friendships. Readers will enjoy this intimate look into Bennett's interior life, and enjoy her confessional prose.
