Chicago Timeline: Before 1784 DuSable first arrives in Chicago
Created by ChiPubLib_Government | 9 items
Selected resources available at Chicago Public Library about Jean Baptiste Du Sable, the first Chicagoan. Scholars agree that DuSable was captured by the British during the Revolutionary War and that when he was released (circa 1783-84), he 'returned' to Chicago.
