I have to share the enthusiasm of my fellow "critics" on the quality of Dr. McGonigal's book. It is quite excellent and I learned much about stress that is useful. I'm already an accomplished mindset user, but I had not known how a conscious choice of mindset could transform a fight or flight response into a healthy challenge response or into a prosocial tend and befriend response. The ability to transform a potentially unhealthy response into a healthy and constructive response is a life saver. Dr. McGonigal does an excellent job of pulling together a lot of resources and making them accessible with stories that bring the lessons alive. Dear reader, you could do much worse than invest time and energy in reading this book and working the exercises. All the best!
