A slow paced mystery can be a good thing, especially when it allows the non-LDS reader to look at the life of a Mormon woman. In investigating the disappearance of a neighbor, Linda discovers a number of marriages that are more troubled than they appear. Do I see another Jessica Fletcher (Murder She Wrote) in Linda. This is a good vehicle for showing Mormon women are as independent as women of other faiths. Linda, the Bishop’s wife, is a good role model.
