I liked the addition in book 3 of Tobias' point of view, though the mere fact that I had to rely heavily on the chapter heading to tell who was doing the talking showed me that Ms. Roth really needed to spend more time creating a pair of protagonists with more distinct voices. I wish she'd made the same commitment throughout the trilogy to keep Tris's voice OR Tris and Tobias vs. the first 2 all in the voice of Tris and the last in Tris's and Tobias's voices. And suddenly we're seeing street names where I don't remember any in the first two books - oh, Dystopian Chicago? Maybe it's been too long since I read the first book. I found myself liking and rooting more for Tobias than Tris, who to me is just a liar and not a very nice person. Brave, maybe. **SPOILER ALERT ** I actually liked book 3 best of all 3, it had a surprise twist (protagonist dies) and left me thinking far more about the whole series than either 1 or 2. Glad I gave it another try, though I wished it were better written.
