Add a Commentgreat movie . truly an 80's classic. if you like that then you like don't tell mom the babysitters dead.there the same babysitting movies. please skip the reboot. there gonna ruin it. please watch the original.
What's going on here? Many of the previous comments refer to the very good 1987 movie starring Elizabeth Shue. THIS film is the 2016 annoying remake.
We shouldn't lump different versions together as if they were interchangeable.

For this film, I stopped at 26 min...
Couldn't take any more of the continuous parade of lame, ridiculous screwups pretending to be cute humour.
A limp attempt to reinvent the original film.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Adventures" is non-stop fun! After being stood up, Chris reluctantly takes a babysitting job which turns out to be a lot more than she bargained for! I've seen this probably ten times and never get tired of it! Lots of laughs are to be found and you'll find yourself on the edge of your seat as Chris and her "kids" try to get out of the predicaments they land themselves in! Never a dull moment in this film, but always fun!
Surprisingly very good for a kids movie. Simply but yet charming. The cast in this movie were very strong.
I recently re-watched Adventures in Babysitting, and enjoyed it as much as I have every other time I watched it. The ridiculous escalation of the events of the evening does not disappoint. I feel like this is a staple for anyone who grew up in the 80s.
Watch for Toronto locations. The blues concert happens at the Silver Dollar Room on Spadina at College Street.
Funny, cute movie but nothing beats the original.
origin chris parker is teenage girl babysitting like jessie of nanny
I've always considered Christopher Columbus has always been like a diluted John Hughes for me. He doesn't have incisive commentary the way Hughes did. Columbus's work is less daring and more family friendly. But compared to the swill before and after Chris and John, he seems like a god in retrospect. Everyone knows about HOME ALONE, but ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING came first, with the sparkling personalities of young Elizabeth Shue and Keith Coogan. I expected silliness, but I got comedy and heart instead. I loved it. Maybe it was the sweet taste of nostalgia, but I would recommend ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING to everyone.
