The heroic Jedi Knights struggle to maintain order and restore peace as the Clone Wars continue to sweep through the galaxy. More and more systems are falling prey to the forces of the dark side as the Galactic Republic slips further and further under the sway of the Separatists and their never-ending droid army. Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano find themselves on a mission with far-reaching consequences, one that brings them face-to-face with crime lord Jabba the Hutt. But Count Dooku and his sinister agents, including the nefarious Asajj Ventress, will stop at nothing to ensure that Anakin and Ahsoka fail at their quest. Meanwhile, on the front lines of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda lead the massive clone army in a valiant effort to resist the forces of the dark side.

The Star Wars The Clone Wars movie is a 98 minute animated movie set between episode 2 and 3. It kicked off the massive success of the Clone Wars TV series; however, this movie is average at best. The story is quite boring with Anakin and his new Padawan Ahsoka Tano going to find Jabba The Hutts Son. The flow and pace of the movie seem a bit off as well. This is actually because it was originally just the first 4 episodes of the TV series, but George Lucas wanted a feature-length film, so they just stitched together the first 4 episodes to resemble a movie. The quality shows this. The animation is very poor, the characters are robotic and lifeless, and their hair looks like plastic. The voice acting is okay as they got some of the original cast to play their roles. Star Wars The Clone Wars should have never been released as a movie, as it is was originally intended for the small screen. Thankfully the TV series that followed was amazing and Star Wars at its best. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone to watch as a standalone, but if you want to watch the Clone Wars, this would be a good starting point. @HarryTheGoat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This movie is the awful start to what turned into an incredible series.

Awesome! Love all the characters. Great scenes.

The biggest problem with The Clone Wars is that it feels like they just took the first 3-4 episodes of the TV show and turned it into a movie... which is actually what they did.

PRetty decent movie. I would recommend watching it twice. Once without the audio commentary and then again with it. The commentaty adds layers to the story that are not that obvious.

Sexual Content: I would avoid the scenes in the bars and with jabba the Hutt. And some of the woman have very inappropriate outfits.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: The scenes between many of the character and how it is played out is intense to say the least.

Violence: Cartoon violence, clones getting killed. It is a war after all.

(Two battle droids are talking on a cliff while a battle rages down below.)
Battle Droid Commander: Concentrate fire on sector 11374269.
Battle Droid Sergeant: Sector 113... What was that again?
Commander: <grabs the Sergeant's head and shoves it towards the ongoing battle below the cliff, pointing with his other hand> Just fire right there!

Basically the movie starts right in the middle of a conflict as most of the animated Clone wars do. If one views it as an extended episode it will help a bit to frame the context. Oshoka makes her first apperance here. Anakin and Oshoka have to rescue Jabba's son from wild bandits, or so it seems. If they manage that then they will have to figure out a way to get Jabba's son back to him safely with Dookua and Ventris on their heels and even in their way on Tatoine.
