I liked this DVD. The actors did a great job. I like the main song and the voice of the singer. It is a USA love story and about their marriage. They are opposite personality types which have a hard time living with each other. She is intense and angry all the time. He is easy going and affable. They have a love/hate relationship. The dialogue include topics such as cold war paranoia in Hollywood, foreign wars, domestic USA prosperity.

VERY GOOD 1973 romantic film with fine acting by Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford, both looking great.
I also enjoyed the excellent soundtrack with fine film flavorings of the famous title tune throughout.

My second favorite film of all time. Katie and Hubbel will always be in love, but that doesn't mean that they can live together.
Of the films of Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford, this is one of, if not THE best. They both are amazing, but I must say, Ms. Streisand really stands out as Katie Morosky Gardner (Cohen).

Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford strike me as an odd pairing but this story works. Two different personalities who come together and help one another. But, they have some pretty big issues that threaten to divide them. Streisand's character is too much at times and Redford's character is so subdued that this opposite's attract credo is all over it. It's a very sad story but also uplifting in some ways. The ending is sad but also shocking. Three weeks later and this one has stayed with me.

Although very much in love their different views on certain issues created tension. A great romantic story. Barbara Streisand was nominated for "Best Actress" and the beautiful song "Memories" was also nominated for "Best Score" in this 1973 movie. Loved it. (warning: a tear jerker)
