I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the Twilight series until I read this book, and to essentially re-read it, but from Edward Cullen's perspective, was a novelty. I was very grateful that Stephenie Meyers wrote the book in such a way that she did not explain the back story, so if you haven't previously read the Twilight series, it may not make sense. But for those who have, it was wonderful to "meet up with" old friends :)
