While I can't say I'm a fan of this book's illustrations, its frank perspective of a transgender boy and resources in the back material make it a valuable point of discussion for children and parents alike.

This is an excellent book explaining to children (and their parents) what it's like to be a transgender child. There are a lot of resources in the back in different mediums, like novels, non-fiction works, and movies. Another awesome thing about this book is that it's about a female-to-male transgender boy. A lot of titles are about male-to-female girls, but this one is refreshing and necessary to get a fuller understanding of trans people. Maddox Lyons, the primary author, is actually a 12-year-old FTM boy himself, so he's basing a lot of it off of his own experience.

It's great for a range of ages, and the content sits at a solid G-rating. I absolutely recommend this!
