Summary
Add a SummaryGuts is another story about Raina which aligns with her previous two books about her life, Smile, and Sisters. Guts follows Raina's life at school, Raina's problems with her fear of vomit, and her anxiety. Raina's stomach problems, and her stomach problems and fear of vomit end up getting her a fear of food, and thinking too much about what she eats and if it could make her sick.

Love this book
A relatable narrative that is a reminder of the literal pains of growing up. An excellent choice for kids (and perhaps even adults) suffering from anxiety and related health issues.
AMAZING!
This graphic novel is very enjoyable to read. I love the drawing style, I even started drawing similar characters. Personally “Guts” is very relatable, in fact most of my friends relate to it too. I had some girls in my school that I couldn’t get along with much. The messages in this graphic novel are very true. One of those messages was that Raina should try to get to know the hater better, and that she might be nice once she gets to know her, that is exactly what happened. Similarly, I was always told to do the same. And getting to know that person is the best way to end the problems between you and them. I recommend this book to all elementary students that have a similar experience. @Samrain of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Guts is a 2019 American graphic novel written by Raina Telgemeier, who is also known for her works Smile and Sisters. It was in development for about two years. The book dramatizes her struggles to overcome her fears and anxieties about bathroom issues, such as contracting the stomach flu or needing to move her bowels urgently. I enjoyed reading this book because it talks a lot about fear and anxiety along with friend trouble. I would recommend this to teens 13 and up. I like how Raina describes her life in graphic novels! It is an amazing book that tells about her true feelings. Rating: 4/5 @PrettyKitty of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Complaint: Man, I'm the 4th hold on this book, and for a couple days I've noticed that I'm not getting any further in line, I know that the person who is reading the book has the right to take their time while reading it, but still, it has been a long time since I put this hold and I am still not getting this book.
I really liked this book. It talks a lot about fear and anxiety along with friend trouble.
