A non-politically correct explanation of the impact of immigration. He keeps repeating that "multi-culturalism" fails. He feels that immigrants who live in a country, but lead parallel but separate lives from the other citizens, does not lead to unity in a society. He believes that cultural integration of immigrants is necessary and there should be government policy that leads to that result. Worth reading. Keep in mind that he is considered to be an extreme right-winger.

More alt-right scare propaganda for dumpy's base. I am guessing over 90% of dumpy's base have never even been to Europe much less know anything about history or geography. Dumpy loves the uneducated!

Sad truths in this book, but like America, native Europeans have to face reality, and realize that the demographics of their countries are going to change with each generation.

Looking past the somewhat clickbait title of this book, there is a world of valuable information and nuanced opinion around the topic of mass migration into Europe over recent decades. The author, believe it or not, places most of the blame on Europeans themselves for what is currently transpiring in Europe.

The author distinguishes between Eastern and Western Europe, and most of the focus of this book is primarily on the state of Western European nations. The first 1/3 of the book is a very good overview of what exactly the problem is and the history of immigration to Europe after WWII.

The next section of the book goes into detailed accounts of the various terrorist attacks (many of which weren’t reported by the mainstream media) that have taken place throughout Europe over the past two decades, as well as societal change that has occurred (primarily in Germany and Sweden). This was the most informative part of the book for me, as I wasn’t aware of the issues Europe faced during the 80s and early 90s.

The last third of the book is a very philosophical look at modern Europeans, the malaise at the heart of the continent fuelled by a tiredness from history, and the existential nihilism at the root of European life today which has brought them to where they are now. Douglas talks about the role media and politics in Europe have played at ignoring what most Europeans want of and from their societies and how they want their future generations to live.

This is a great book, and no matter what anyone thinks of immigration or European people or the recent migration crisis, this book will open doors to discussions and topics that have so far been taboo to address around the debate. Highly recommended!

Most Westerners have little or no understanding of Islam. Progressives believe that everyone can fit into the Western World is absolutely childish. To understand Islam is to understand that it is Supremacist Political/Religion. Islam doesn't fit into the Western narrative of freedom and democracy, and Muslims are indoctrinated from birth by parents and their political/religious activists to hate Christians and Jews. Can Muslims and Islam fit into the West? No! It's really very simple to understand why they cannot. If you look at the Islamic World you will see some Muslim nations where there are no religious minorities, that's because they have killed them off or forcibly converted minorities to Islam. Islamic nations we see as allegedly secular are not anything of the kind, they are generally brutal dictatorships that Prophet Muhammad would approve of. They are brutal among themselves with Muslim Mob Violence, violent leaders, and chronic haters of everything non-Muslim. Sure there are some Muslims who just want to get along, but they are overshadowed by the larger radical groups. When 9-11 happened there was a story about Muslim FBI agents where they actually celebrated the attacks, perhaps even to the point of hiding intercepts from radical Islamist groups, as one FBI agent suggested and was fired over. I'm not truly scared about the Muslim(s) who come out to kill us because at least we can see him coming, but what truly should scare everyone are the Muslims who cheer him on. They're the Muslims who are the problem. We are only seeing Muslim Mob Violence in the last decade becoming more pronounced by allegedly peaceful Muslims. And any inspection of Islam and the Qur'an would have to conclude that Islam is a religion of hate, violence and supremacy. How would such people fit into a predominantly peaceful society like our own in the West? It would be like allowing the wolves into the hen house at dinner time. You don't have to like what I say, but I am simply telling the truth as it is. And some people just can't stand to hear the truth. Remember Neville Chamberlain refused to accept the truth and look at how that turned out.

This is a very sad book to read for anyone that loves Europe, its history, culture, people, architecture, etc. How could any people voluntarily allow itself to be displaced in their own homelands? The author tells the story of post-war immigration into Europe through the decades and the total unwillingness of Europe's leaders to address its long term consequences. All debate over the huge numbers of immigrants and their offspring from all over the world has been shut-down by the mainstream political parties by implying anyone who opposes this transformation is racist, xenophobic, nativist, etc.

"Just how much should a tolerant majority indulge an intolerant minority." Questions like that are peppered throughout the book, and serve to illuminate the crisis Europe faces now that everyone agrees that welcoming unlimited Muslim immigrants was a colossal mistake. Alas, the damage has been done. Now what? Sensational book about a delicate subject.

This is an important if troubling book. Douglas Murray is a British political commentator who was educated at Eton and Oxford. He analyzes the recent history of European immigration and argues that if immigration continues at its current levels this could lead to the death of European civilization. He argues that Europe, as we know it, will cease to exist within the lifespans of most people alive today. The expectation of most politicians is that the arrivals into Europe would become European. He argues that it is more likely that Europe will increasingly look like the Third World.

Douglas Murray is a real gem, a true talent of the social sciences, not just another rabid ideologue. He distills a serious and complex issue that is so bogged down with political football, distortions and a maze of obfuscations from the political class, and presents his case about cultural suicide with rare clarity and precision. This readable, engrossing book delves into some history that led up to this which broadens perspective, and it sheds light on the the fan dancing and lies of politicians, as well as politically motivated academics and journalists when it comes to this issue. I really appreciated the way he hones in on the psychology of mass delusion basically, and most of all the irrefutable fact that ignoring assimilation leads to cultural surrender. The consistency and time he took with going into the suicidal, pathological altruism that has become part of the DNA of the Western consensus and the collective insanity that creates is great. Most of Murray's harshest critics are nothing more than the kind of near sighted ideologues whose political posturing he goes to extensive lengths to expose in this book.

This is an excellent explanation and analysis of the current problems facing Europe. It is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand what's going on in Europe, and it is timely for how pressing these issues are. The book is highly critical of the political classes for ignoring the wishes and opinions of the public in regards to immigration levels and the impact of Islam. Few politicians are able to speak honestly and openly about it, showing how out of touch they are with their voters. The recent migrant crisis features prominently, and Murray demonstrates how the politicians failed in their response to it. There are many in doubt that large numbers of people entering a continent who do not share the values of its people is a bad thing, or that there is a problem with Islam. To them, they absolutely must read this book.
