Imagine all the shapes, sizes and places there are windows. Imagine who lives behind the window and what they do. Join a boy and his dog for a walk through his town and see what he discovers about windows!

I agree with all the comments below, and won't repeat them- this book is so rich and beautiful in art and language. I will add that one thing I just loved, and keep leafing through the book over and over, is the ever deepening sunset and the hues of each of colour. Beautiful, beautiful book!

In this story, a young boy (reminiscent of Ezra Jack Keat's Peter in "The Snowy Day") wanders through his urban neighborhood as the daylight fades. He sees all sorts of things happening and eventually makes his way back home where he finds someone waiting for his return. Captivating illustrations are done in ink, watercolor, letterpress and digital collage. Ages 3-6

Wow. I had to stop and stare in wonderment when I read the line, "A neighborhood of paper lanterns." The incredible illustrations paired with such rich language is going to make this book stick with me for a long time.

A short poetic book about one of my favorite times, twilight, when no one has closed their blinds, and you walk outside, into the "almost night" into "a neighborhood of paper lanterns."
