This a wild ride with a new fresh perspective on King Arthur using modern film making techniques and screen play. Sure there will be those disappointed in some aspects of the story line or acting but for pure entertainment its movie magic.

Not bad, a really unique way to direct the film, I has a less expectation before watching this film due to the critics, but it does really surprises me when I watch it. the part where it can improve more is the length of the back story and more action. it took a little bit too long of explaining King Arthur's past. After this, I am curious and want to watch the 2004 movie with Clive Owen and Keira Knighty

A LE MORTE D'ARTHUR prequel by Guy Ritchie starring Jax (Charlie Hunnam) from SONS OF ANARCHY as the boy king who pulls the sword from the stone. This is LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS version of Camelot. At first I didn't think it was going to work -- and I'm a Guy Ritchie fan -- but succeed it does. Jude Law as the evil uncle Vortigern building his own Tower of Babel is the pillar of the production. He provides a fascinating portrait of a power-hungry ruler, paranoid and ruthless, forever on the lookout for ways to augment his stature. What many of the commentators miss is that Ritchie, in our post-BREXIT world, is calling for a renewed English nationalism, and it is clearly not of the Tory/UKIP variety; rather, it is multi-ethnic (kung-fu fighters and Africans hoisting a mug with Vikings), egalitarian and populist. I agree. If Western democracy is to be renewed our best chance is a governing Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn.

Nothing like what was presented to you in the trailer. The best part of this disaster was looking at Eric Bana but is a serious waste of his talent. The same should be said for Jude Law.
They couldn't decide where to go with this movie. Would have been better off just making a modern, medieval movie rather than trying to drag a King Arthur theme into it. Too much cheesy CGE and not one Led Zepplin song. Possibly a younger crowd who doesn't know any history may enjoy this movie. Dismal disappointment.

For the 'Guy Ritchie' style, it is a well done film. However, If you're an arthurian legend enthusiast, this is not the film for you. Right from the beginning I couldn't get passed the made-up war with mages vs. english citizens. Mordred is made out to be nothing more than a Lord of the Rings Witch King. Different bits and pieces of the legend are miss matched together and don't really hold the integrity of any of the original story lines. Nothing is even very historically accurate for the time period. What we know as vikings weren't present in England at the time, it was mostly Saxons. It all just seemed like an excuse to over exaggerate the fantasy battle scenes. I love sci-fi/fantasy action films just as much as the next person. I think if Ritchie wanted to put his spin on a medieval setting he would have been better off inventing his own story line instead of trying to take on the beloved tales of King Arthur.

Very poor. I enjoyed many of Guy Ritchie's other films like Lock, Stock,...., Snatch, and the Sherlock Holmes films but he seemed to be lazy here and used the same kind of dialogue that would have worked in Lock, Stock. A huge budget and he couldn't be bothered to work on the dialogue!! Don't bother with this one.

I personally loved this take of the King Arthur story. It's uniqueness was very entertaining. I've always been a fan of Guy Ritchie films and as this is one of his first true fantasy films, I'd say he nailed it. There were just a few things I didn't like about it, but it was mostly during some of the fighting scenes. If you're looking for the original King Arthur story, look elsewhere. Guy's take of the story goes in a complete different direction, and if you can ignore the original story, then you'll love this. The dialogue was witty and hilarious. Sometimes the transitioning scenes seemed a bit busy, but nothing I'm not used to with his films. Overall very entertaining and a bit risky.
