Steve wants to be exceptional! When he discovers a golden horn, he seizes the opportunity, but crisis ensues when, as a trendsetter, he is suddenly unable to keep up with the trend. What is a horse to do?

A fun read overall with a light but meaningful message. Our EXCEPTIONAL brilliance lies within, not in all that glitters and shines. A fancy horn found in the forest makes Steve think this is his way to being exceptional and soon discovers it's not so. In the meantime, he creates a trend! An interesting way to express how to be mindful of trends and always look inside ourselves for our natural gifts. Illustrations are simple yet effective.

Steve is a hoot! He just wants to be special but everyone keeps copying him. What's a horse to do? The author/illustrator, Kelly Collier, is Canadian.
