It was a good, light, easy read. I'm sure I've read other of the author's work but, can't remember at the moment. Was quick to invest in Grendal, Gabrial & Ren. Hard to judge in some ways as I'm an adult reading a tween/teen aimed book. Basically, it was enjoyable and looked forward to the moments I could read it again. Bring on book 2

For me, the story was more interesting with the interaction tween Ren & the drake, & Ren the other dragons, rather than the interaction tween dragon & dragon.
I liked The Last Dragon Chronicles better. But, then, this is the first book.
