My 2 year old loveS this book. It’s perfect for children learning their animals and colors. Also, the rhythm of the book appeals to toddlers and its short and straightforward to keep them engaged in the story.

After reading this novel to my 2/3 year old daughter I decided to check out more books by Bill Martin jr. and Eric Carle. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint! We love the illustrations and the fact that their aren’t too many sentences on one page. It is straight forward and rewarding at the end! Eric Carl’s is 90 years old today. How amazing is it that we can share classic pictures with our children now and Forever! RIP Bill Martin Jr.

This is a must read for toddlers👌

A true classic for both adults and children of all ages! This is an excellent story time book to read aloud with the audience together. After reading the first 2 pages, everyone usually follows along. Repetition, colours, and animals are great concepts to enhance your child's vocabulary and memory skills. I have read this awesome story from time to time, where the children would typically remember reading it from before and becoming excited till the end!!!

This is a favorite at our house. We substitute Cardinal bird for red bird and Mommy for teacher. I have also made flannel board pieces. My teacher friends loved them.
