"Most Americans see inequality...as aberrations.....But inequality and racial habits are part of the American Idea.... [During the depression of 2008] ...African Americans lost 31% of their weath....White Americans lost 11%....[by 2009] 35% of African-Americans had zero or negative weath...etc. etc." The Great Recession was caused by white oligarchs who destroyed the lives of massive numbers of African-Americans. And what was done to help the destroyed masses - basically nothing. So after 400 of slavery and discrimination, whites like to believe that these disparities are just by luck, not by design. Dr. Eddie S. Glaude,Jr. states in this book that American history is really a history of white supremacy from 1619 to today.

How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul. What is democracy? Is it only for the dominant group?
For 200 plus years America has learned to value material things rather than humanity.
The struggle continues for a Black American to achieve VALUE; of people deserving the same
rights and privileges of "American Democracy." Otherwise there is no true democracy.
