Wounded and weakened in Korean prison camps, GIs descend from the plane that returned them to U.S. soil. It is a time of tearful family reunions. Good show but watch it on TCM..
The playback is terrible and to watch the last 18 minutes takes 45.

Good courtroom drama & I loved Paul Newman in it. 1950's Hollywood seems to have been fascinated by tormented minds. The end, though realistic as noted below, seemed abrupt to me.

Paul Newman stars as a returning Korean War vet after having spent time as a POW. He is treated as a reluctant hero, but did he collaborate with the enemy to win favors with the enemy? Sounds a little like today’s Bergdahl story. All of us who have never been tortured in a POW camp, who are we to judge? The ending seemed realistic to me.
