Recently divorced, newly rich, and utterly miserable, Danny would seem to be the perfect test subject for a definitive look at the relationship between money and happiness. Danny's well-funded ennui is interrupted by a momentous trip to the local gym, where he meets self-styled guru/owner Trevor and irresistibly acerbic trainer Kat. Soon, their three lives are inextricably knotted, both professionally and personally.

Two single men approaching 50 try to figure out their next steps in life. A major solution seems to be dating much younger women and, in the case of the newly minted millionaire, getting stoned, playing guitar, getting stoned, and trying to seduce his new hot personal trainer (and did I mention getting stoned?). We've seen most of this before in sitcoms. Boring.

I was heading into "Results" expecting a solid and funny, but TYPICAL romantic comedy sort of thing. The appeal of a dude in sort of a mid-life crisis type thing always draws me in to watching a story unfold. Danny was much less appealing, having turned out to be pretty creepy lol. My interest turned to Trevor, as this New Age self-help, goal-driven sort of fellow had to deal with some bs and difficulties that came his way. I found the idea of such a man driven for success and self-balance having to deal with such peculiar and difficult to resolve obstacles to be fascinating to watch unfold. I found that the dialogue and moments created to highlight and punctuate this niche scenario (a scenario both humourous and poignant) to be quite well done, impressive, and profound. At the top of the pile would be a moment where Trevor got to go out and meet his idol, with highly underwhelming results for him, and Kat storming in and taking charge. I found this sort of thing highly unique and rewarding as a viewer who appreciates this intersection of comedy and new age thinking

As a result this was definitely not TYPICAL. The 'typical' word they would give for this sort of movie would be 'offbeat.' It definitely is. So much so that part of the enjoyment of watching it unfold (there were moments near the beginning'ish where I wasn't so sure it was worth watching) was the awareness of how unique of a tone it created for itself compared to other movies in the "comedy" genre or other such films like this

Rated 1/10. Boring, weak script, poor acting, and unfunny. Need I go on?

BAD! Don't waste your time on this one!

Throughout the movie, it felt like there was no screenplay written for it, just a bunch of improvisations and poor ones, at that!
A disappointing show! I don't recommend it! Almost anything else is better!

This is comedy? Or romance? Pretty lame on both counts.

Better then I was expecting. Solid performances across the board. Cobie Smulders is a legit actress beyond what she's done in How I Met Your Mother and the Marvel films. Gyms and workout culture are a big part of the film so I liked that they were able to poke gentle fun at how superficially silly all that can seem until you start taking it seriously. For a romance movie it was less cheesy and a tiny bit more realistic then many movie romances, which was nice. The rich guy character turned out to be a lot less creepy then I thought he might, which was a relief.
