Really violent, appalling scenes, too vividly described for this regular Eve devotee. Not up to par.

I adore this series but lately, some of the books were disappointing, almost boring. This one fits into that category; it's very fast paced, violent, almost frantic but I didn't find the premise particularly believable, just vulgar. Half way through, I flipped to the Epilogue. Is it possible someone else is writing this series and Robb just scans, edits and puts her name on them? (Like James Patterson and his bevy of co-authors?) Many previous reviews are very positive so maybe it's just me. On the bright side, she does introduce a new character; he was cool.

Compelling read. This story stays focused on working the case and finding the spree killers before they kill their latest victim(s). Quick paced and involving Dallas and her crew for a short time period (less than a week), interwoven with flashbacks to the unsub's evolution...I could not put it down.

I'm waitng for my library to get it, which it does immediately on publication, so I haven't read it yet, but I love J D Robb, . I am very interested in how she treats a mystery all by itself. But I know the Dallas series & I bet there is soap opera element too, centering on the precinct, maybe?

I was disappointed. No Mavis, no Nadine, one scene with Feeney -felt like the core of the book was missing. I found the murder element boring too-waited months for the book -big letdown

I love J. D. Robb (Nora Roberts) In Death Series. Devoted in Death did not disappoint. This books follows a couple who think that they are madly in love and the horrible things that they do to others while traveling to New York. A must read.
