Originally broadcast by PBS May 19, 2015, this 56-minute documentary delves into the effectiveness of the US interrogation methods and the cover-up by CIA.
The film such as "Zero Dark Thirty" was a propaganda in the form of the CIA cover-up.
The CIA deliberately gave their own misleading materials to the film producer and director so that the movie would make the US audience to support the CIA interrogation methods desipite their inhumane, brutal and immoral natures.
It is a mind-boggling yet informative and honest documentary.

The CIA imprisoned suspected Al Qaeda operatives in secret “black sites” outside the USA, where they water boarded and subjected them to what Senator John McCain said was torture. One of their prisoners was actually accidentally frozen to death. The CIA destroyed video tapes of the sessions and the Republicans impounded a 6000 page made by the Senate from CIA documents once they took control of the Senate. The two psychologists who developed the techniques were paid $81,000,000. The FBI and Democratic Senators say that “enhanced interrogation” only produced false testimony to get the torturing to stop. 4 stars because 1 hour is not enough.

Obviously, torture has been historically effective - - at extracting FALSE CONFESSIONS, exactly what it was used for, which we now know thanks to the reporting of Ms. Mayer at the New Yorker, the great folk at The Intercept, and the US Senate's summary on the still-yet-to-be-released report on CIA torture [reported cost to taxpayers was $41 million, and another of the endless examples of why President Obama's // Open Government Initiative \\ is a complete sham].
The CIA's Alfreda Bikowsky Silverstein, falsely portrayed in the movie, Zero Dork Thirty, did knowingly and illegally order the torture of innocents to extract false confessions - - could it possibly have anything to do with the fact that the owner of the mortgage to the Twin Towers was Larry Silverstein?????????
[FYI: WGBH Educational Foundation is majority financed by the Koch brothers.]

Hardly surprising that the democratic liberal politicians wasted tax-payers to state that torture did not yield any useful info. Torture has existed since the beginning of war to extract enemy intelligence. If torture has not have been effective, it would have been replaced long ago. War is a dirty business.
