Sad and affecting film about the personal effects on a family caught in an epidemic with an affected family member. It just happens to be a zombie virus epidemic, which makes the consequences of the disease somewhat different. Not a horror film or zombie action film, so don't let the zombie theme keep you from watching. Not gory but there are some intense scenes. Another good movie that is different from the standard raging zombie apocalypse horror films (other good examples include Fido, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland).

This movie is more a veiled look at terminal illness within a family than strictly zombies. When his daughter is infected, the father takes her home to live out her last days on the understanding that he will have to kill her when she turns, for everyone's safety. The question is, can be bring himself to do it? And will she accept her fate or not?

Interesting movie definitely a drama not action or horror. Really sad. Abigail bresland and Arnold Schwarzenegger are excellent in this movie.

It's good to see Arnold Schwarzenegge in a non-action role, but overall this tries to be a moody, psychological drama about a zombie world and misses the mark.

A slow movie but it's a zombie film unlike any you've seen before. More drama then anything else. Great performance by Arnie.

It's more about a virus outbreak so they aren't like 'real' zombies. Low key, dreary, depressing film with no action scenes. So if you need action then you should watch it anyway so you'll know what kind of films the rest of us like!

Very slow moving zombie movie. His daughter becomes infected and while waiting in quarantine in the hospital for her to turn, he takes her home. Father-daughter relationships are explored. Very slow moving.

When I saw Arnold + Zombies, I thought I had a winner. I didn't exactly want to see the same old shootemup, but I definitely also did not want to see this pathetic artsy-fartsy snorefest, which seems to be more of a "teen angst" film than a zombie study. I don't think you can just juxtapose everyday father-daughter stuff with zombie invasion, it's phony & pretentious & shoulda been a comedy.

Arnold's best performance.

Sad and dramatically strong in parts. Good performances from Breslin and even Schwarzenegger.
But in such a visually godawful manner, you need night-vision goggles.
