The town librarian in Kettle Knob, North Carolina, she's determined to preserve the future of literature--and the library's romantic legend--for her patrons. A popular line that is used to get the girl is often, "You had me at, 'Hello.' " Well, this time, Kieran Kramer has us at the opening to her new book, Trouble When You Walked In; this is especially true if you happen to work at a library. I imagine that many librarians, like myself, will spend time shushing themselves from loud and uncontrollable giggles at the beginning of the story... and it only gets better the more you read!

Small town librarian, Cissie Rogers has her way of doing things, from running the library how she sees fit to her expectations of her true love walking through the front door of the historical library building.

Things start going badly when Cissie learns that her precious library will have to move to a strip mall location from the town mayor, Boone Braddock, who is most assuredly NOT her true love, because no decent guy would come in and break the news in such a callous way. Good looks and popularity do not make for a potential love match. Nope. Who would dare move such an important piece of town history anyway? Has he no heart!?

There must be a way to stop such a travesty from happening. What is a librarian girl to do? Run for mayor? Heck yes!! Especially if it will save the library put that hottie, Boone, in his place!

Let the campaigning begin!

Now the only question remains if Boone is showing interest in Cissie only to mess with her chances of becoming mayor or is there something more between them than a race for votes!? Can you really trust a politician?
