Jimmy Conlon: I've done terrible things in my life. Things for which I can never be forgiven. I betrayed friends, turned my back on the ones closest to me. I've always known that my sins would eventually catch up to me. No sin goes unpunished in this life. Your life doesn't flash before your eyes when you are dying. That's bull$#!t. It's your regrets that haunt you in your final moments. Everything you've failed to be. Everyone you let down. Everything you'd go back and change, if only you had more time.

Add a CommentRated 4/10. Best I can give to this depressing and violent movie.
It has some elements that make it passable, but the main problem is that the plot is so shallow. It really is a waste of acting talent in Liam Neeson.
What would have made it somewhat better is to explain how Neeson became a hitman to begin with.
You decide.
I thought this movie was decent.
Same old stuff. Cliched mobsters; cliched motives; cliched code of honor; cliched ending; over-the-top fights and chases; mediocre acting.
Fairly good action movie, but with many cliches. But Ed Harris and others bring what might have been a totally forgettable movie up to something worth watching. And that car chase was FUN (although, as nearly all movie car chases are, also wildly unbelievable).
After the first few ordinary minutes, events exploded. The main characters' world derailed into a taut struggle for vengeance and survival.
One of Neeson's better movies.
Surprisingly entertaining action film. Probably the best of the "Liam Neeson action movie" genre that started with "Taken." Honestly, the film is not as gruesome as people are saying. Compared to a lot of R-rated action films released today, it's surprisingly restrained. A bit clichéd, and the editing can be grating at times, but it's worth seeing. Takes A LOT of its plot from Road to Perdition, but isn't quite as well-written.
Extremely violent. Lots of gunfire, swearing and gang violence. Okay movie, but you know it's going to end with dead people. Very good actors but I think they deserve a better script than this.
a good movie. I liked the storyline. The ending was very similar to another movie Ed Harris starred in, which I thought was pretty cool; though not a trivia type, the ending gave me a notion that it was set up for that reason. I recommend viewing. (hint; think about a city in Russia). ;).
Terrific cast, writing is half and half - good characters and dialogue, but rather plodding and predictable storyline. Quite violent but not over the top for the sake of it, more like the world in which these people live. OK for what it is, and for fans of Neeson & Harris.
Well acted but violent action movie.
