A new collection of delightfully macabre tales from a master of horror manga. An old wooden mansion that turns on its inhabitants. A dissection class with a most unusual subject. A funeral where the dead are definitely not laid to rest. Ranging from the terrifying to the comedic, from the erotic to the loathsome, these stories showcase Junji Itō's long-awaited return to the world of horror.

Super solid anthology of short horror comics from a master of the craft.

A collection of horror tales from the mind of Ito.
Like most collections, some stories are good while others can say mediocre. Definitely not one of his best, and it doesn't falls in the worst category as well. I would say it's a good book for some light reading and if you want to have a peek into Japanese horror ideology...which in my opinion is really unique.

Good read for time pass

Not one of Junji Ito's best. The man may be running out of ideas, since it took him so long to put this out. Some of the stories are half-baked, but there are a few good ones in there to make this book worthwhile.

I would recommend also checking out Uzumaki or Flesh Colored Horror.

Ito has the mind of a freak, in a good way. These horror vignettes are bizarre, often perplexing, and always interesting. Several have inconclusive endings, leaving one to ponder their meaning.
