This book offers a look at Hepburn's "real" life , including some of her recipes, and photos of Audrey Hepburn sans glitter. Written by one of her sons.

Rich with photos and some recipes, the writer--one of Audrey Hepburn's sons--offers a personal albeit somewhat superficial view of his mother in her youth and mostly after she retired from films, at home. Hepburn had a special connection to UNICEF, for whom she became an ambassador, because of her terrible experience in WWII. The author's and Hepburn's humanity shines through with the most important recipe in the book.

This is a delightful memoir/recipe book through which I learned much more about the woman, not the actress. Apparently, she was a very loved mother.

A gem. we learn more about the "real" Hepburn in this slim volume then in any of her biographies. If you are a fan or just want to get to know Audrey, read this absolute joy of a book.
