New Orleans, 38 months after. The city's musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians, and others continue to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. But the promise of recovery, heightened by the historic election of a new president, is tempered by sobering economics, continued police corruption, and the ongoing specter of violence and crime. In these five final episodes of Treme, New Orleans' protagonists strive to build their own legacy in this most iconic of American cities.

More must see viewing, the stories run the arc and the series is not overdone.
Any longer would be too long.
Bravo, for HBO for portraying minority lives, and their everyday difficulties, in a region so fraught with difficulties.

The only reason this unexpectedly final season is so short is because nobody watched it aka the ratings were extremely low period. This is a darn shame because this show might have been at least 5 seasons or more perhaps, but unfortunately we will never know this ever. This also doesn't change the fact that this show is FIRE period.

Love this HBO Drama. So sad season 3.5, as we call it, has come to an end. But when the DTs set in remember, the real thing is a flight away. Treme TV is a perfect depiction of the city, neighbourhoods, music and people itself.
