Rampant crime and government ineptitude continue to cripple the city's recovery, with outside profiteers looking to cash in on short-term gains. The series' focus is still on ordinary people, but they no longer accept their lack of influence on the institutions that have controlled the city.

Binge-worthy series with great music, social relevance, and multiple complex characters, one of them being the city of New Orleans itself. I enjoyed and recommend "Treme". Start with Season 1 and go from there - it works best in sequence.

@Gary: the actress who plays Annie the violinist is one of the worst actresses, EVER. One of the other worst actresses of all time, is the girl who played John Goodman's daughter. they are both excruciating to watch, especially the kid. Treme takes the cake for lousy acting. Gag.
