"PILGRIM is the code name for a world class and legendary secret agent. His adversary is a man known only to the reader as the Saracen. As a young boy, the Saracen barely sees his dissident father beheaded in a Saudi Arabian public square. But the event marks him for life and creates a burning desire to destroy the special relationship between the US and the Kingdom. Everything in the Saracen's life from this moment forward will be in service to jihad. At the novel's opening, we find ourselves in a seedy hotel near Ground Zero. A woman lies face down in a pool of acid, features melted off her face, teeth missing, fingerprints gone. The room has been sprayed down with DNA-eradicating antiseptic spray. All the techniques are pulled directly from Pilgrim's book, a cult classic of forensic science written under a pen name. In offering the NYPD some casual assistance with the case, Pilgrim gets pulled back into the intelligence underground"--Publisher's website.

Since our man literally wrote the book on the tactics employed in this violent act, he is called in to assist. Meanwhile another killer is on the ... Read More »

An incredibly good and suspenseful book, I am Pilgrim reads like it is 300 pages instead of over 600. Don't let the length deter you, this book is non-stop action with a deep and all too realistic plot full of richly developed characters. Following Pilgrim around the globe as he is tasked with tracking down and stopping an unknown terrorist from unleashing a plague is a series of satisfying twists and revelations

Woah! The BEST thriller I have read so far. It has a very interesting narrative style with a web of ingeniously connected plot lines. Every character is well defined that you will be living in the world created by the author in no time. I recommend it to all mystery/thriller lovers.

a great read following the exploits of the Pilgrim as he tracks across Europe to find the terrorist who is planning to unleash a small pox virus on the US. The story is intricately woven, delightfully filled with action and espionage. A satifying read.

The author's other writings include the Mad Max movies, Dead Calm and Payback.

Terry Hayes has plenty experience writing for action movies. His first novel is loaded. I hope there is another.

An international spy thriller and murder mystery with some sympathetic, multi=faceted characters and thought-provoking plot lines. Lots of action. It jumped around in time and place, so it's not easy to read in small bites, but a great vacation read. I'm hoping this is the first in a series.
