Melt My Frozen Heart

When I was a little girl, I loved all the Disney princesses. It was so romantic to the watch princess find true love and be rescued by the handsome prince. Then I grew up and realized how ridiculous those princesses were. Once in a while, though, Disney gets it right and gives us a princess who is truly extraordinary and self-sufficient, and melts my heart with her spunk, strength and ability… (more)

Just when you thought you were finally finished hearing Let it Go, relive all the magic of this epic tale

My daughter loves to watch this movie and the songs, she loves to sing them.

I like to use Frozen as my argument that kids really want more musicals because music helps them learn so much and most cartoons have weak or poorly integrate music these days, so the popularity of Frozen and "Let It Go" speaks to that. And it's just enjoyable.

This was not my favorite Disney movie. It was mediocre at best, and what's more infuriating is the popularity of Elsa, who is a minor character who doesn't do anything of great significance except cause trouble, run away, and sing a song.

I feel like this movie was totally stereotypicalized by many people. It was actually quite well-done and enjoyable to watch!

(okay, i admit, some parts were funny and okay, but overall, i didn't really like it. i can't believe my mom tricked me into watching this at the movie theatre!!!)

A wonderful Disney film that seems to have hit a cult status. It is nice to see strong female Disney princesses (and one with super powers! Take that brothers who love Spiderman and won't share! ;) ) in a movie again.

I may be a little bias because I am the blonde, older sister of a plucky, adventurous brunette...but I find the characters easy to relate to.

Engaging and delightful with a nice twist showing family love winning the battle vs. the knight in shining armor saving the day. Great music adds to the entertainment for children and adults alike.

Anna, a fearless optimist, sets off on an epic journey - teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven - to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. From the outside Anna's sister, Elsa looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret-she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It's a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can't stop. She fears she's becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her.
