Very good film with a tragic ending. First of many films with Michael B. Jordan directed by Ryan Coogler. Received Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance that year.

Powerful movie based on a true story. The events still depresses and haunts me to this day. This did not have to happen. What a tragedy!

Police officers & private security are the only people who have ever aimed loaded firearms at me.

Typical trendy anti-cop movie based on a true story of police abuse. Not really worth the watch.

Fantastic film about the untimely death of Oscar Grant. The story is true and deals with the last day of his life. We get a good picture of the kind of person that Oscar Grant was, a picture that could not be conveyed on paper. You'll be shocked and stunned, but it's important to witness. I hope everybody sees this film.

This is an example of why black lives matter, and why we have race riots. It also shows why cops don't like cameras on phones.

True stories are the best.... Too bad this was a low budget movie...

An incoherent set of incidents leading to hair-trigger cops murdering a man because they figured they could and were having a bad day.

I didnt know what the movie was about when I got it. It was eerie in that the situation in the movie where the cop killed the guy had just recently occured in Tulsa. I could have done without some of the profanity in the movie, it could have stood on its plot alone.

I found "Fruitvale Station" that is based on a true story, to be concerned with a trigger happy transit policeman, and a lack of advanced medical technology on the marketplace to save people from gun wounds with internal bleeding problems. Why would a young black man mouth-off at someone (especially a policeman) restraining him (even if it was for no reason) that has state weapons and more power? This mouth-off culture was not explained in the film--the lack of sense, and the dehumanization of the African-American community in Oakland, CA is the scene for this film. Quite a tragedy.
