"Grace Sheridan is back. Ten years after discovering that looks and talent are a dime a dozen in Los Angeles, she's wriggling into a pair of badass jeans and ready to show the film industry that there's way more to her than just a head of gorgeous red curls. And Hollywood's newest Brit super-hunk Jack Hamilton certainly sees a lot to like. Grace is trying to restrain herself from jumping a man who is nearly a decade her junior, but Jack is making it clear that he personally has zero problems with that idea"--Page 4 of cover.

4+ Stars
Since reading this book the first time, I have read two more books by this author. Wallbanger being one of them and one of her most popular. I can say unequivocally that this is my favorite of the three. I love the older woman, May-December romance and Grace is one of the best characters with her quick wit and snarky/loving friendship with Holly. The romance is pretty great as well. This is book one in a three book series, but reads well as an HFN standalone. I had not continued on to the second book immediately after reading this one the first time and wanted to re-read before I did. I enjoyed it just as much if not more.

Few laughs here and there, generally very cliche. Very elaborate on the sexual attraction between the main characters, way sooner than the reader feels it. This just ruins the book for me, I need to feel that their love is real before they bluntly say it. Not so much for character development.

This book was the kind I love the most: a fun, hilarious love story, that you just cannot put down.

This was a lot of fun. I loved the banter between Grace and Holly, and Grace and Jack - especially the nicknames. There was a lot of sex (I really do mean a lot, at least ten different scenes and most of them couldn't be described as 'short'), very hot sex, and the first half was penetration free which was new for me. It was pretty obvious that this would be the first a series (what turned out to be a trilogy) as not that much happened. Well, as I said there was a lot of sex, but the characters didn't really move more than a few steps forward in life from where they were at the beginning of the book - Jack is still the same 24-year-old, hot new thing in Hollywood and Grace is the same 33-year-old looking for her second chance in the industry after a decade away 'getting her shit together'. The only thing that 'happens' is that love is declared by both parties. There's barely any conflict - Grace has issues stemming from her reasons for leaving Hollywood and the way she let herself go while she was back home, but she doesn't express these anxieties to Jack she just internalises them and puts them in her mental 'drawer' to be dealt with later (not a good idea, as Grace shows in the second book). As Grace herself describes it, they are in the 'love bubble' for pretty much the whole book. The book ends on a cliff hanger of how the couple will handle it with Grace in New York playing the lead role in an off Broadway show and Jack constantly busy with press for his upcoming movie. Basically, this was a happy, sex-filled book that sets us up for the more turbulent second book (I'm ten pages away from finishing that one, too).

I liked it for the most part, but then it was just the same thing over and over and over again- meaning sex over and over and over and it got to be a bit boring. Also, I know it's the first in a series about this couple but there was no conflict at all-it was too sickeningly sweet at times. Funny though, and overall a decent read, it just wasn't my favorite.

"A man should feel pride in his work, and making me come was his job. I had never been given it so good in my life. My throat was hoarse, my legs were on permanent shimmy-shake, and I could not wipe the grin from my tired face. And I was still wearing my heels."-Grace on Jack's skills in the bedroom
