I really liked the storyline. I am new to the X-men and I loved this comic loads. As I have said previously, I love Bendis's work and this is no different. Great book! I have always wondered how Bendis is often put with the best artists. This is one of the many reasons I like his work so much.

I love this comic. This isn't like Uncanny X-men which is about teaching kids while on the run, or Wolverine and the X-men which is just about a school for mutants and the classes. Out of all the X-men titles, I recommend this most. All new X-men is about the first team of the x-men learning to cope with what has become of their future selfs and the team. If you don't like this, check out Uncanny X-men, but I'd recommend it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the concept of this story worked. If you want to read a Bendis story that you may actually like, this is the book.

I try to dislike Bendis because he is overhyped, but story concepts like this make it hard to.
I can't say he executed it as well as he could have, but the idea of bringing the past x-men forward makes it a fun read.

Bendis gets to infest the X-Men with his complete disregard for continuity and common sense. Unfortunately for the artist, who frankly deserves better, Stuart Immonen is shackled to work with Bendis. This rises up out of the events of Avengers versus X-Men, with Cyclops and a handful of renegades having had turned full blown revolutionaries, gathering more mutants on their own. A decision made by one of the other X-Men- a decision that he would never, ever make in the hands of another writer- brings the original young X-Men into the present day to confront the current situation. Bendis disregards this completely, let alone the consequences of such characters being out of their natural time, because the man does not care less about actual storytelling. As in his earlier work, characters spend more time yelling at each other, the natural well established sound of their voices smothered beneath his inability to write characters with their own voices. The man is an absolute hack, and a pestilence on the industry.

Another great series by Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen!
