Read this with my daughter and it was hard to put down. Geared toward teens, but interesting to the adult set as well.

"If We Survive" is an amazing book! Definitely a new favourite of mine! Every teen should read this book!

If you are looking for an easy, entertaining read, this is the book for you. The story is fast-paced and has just the right balance of action and other plot elements. Further, it is a nice original break from most of the teen genre out there. "If We Survive" is definitely a must read. So, to make it simple, read it. It's good ;)

"When revolutionaries seize control of (fictional) Costa Verdes, Central America, where 16-year-old Will Peterson is serving on a mission trip, he and the other teen volunteers find themselves in a desperate race to escape and return home. Captured by Mendoza, the leader of the revolutionaries, and facing the dangers of the jungle even if they can break free, Will, Jim, Meredith, and Nicky are scared like they've never been scared before. Tense, action-packed, and narrated by likeable (if flawed) Will, If We Survive will thrill fans of the author's similarly fast-paced Homelanders series." And that was all of us - five of us. Pastor Ron, Nicki, Jim, Meredith, and the illustrious Will Peterson, aka myself.
We came to Costa Verdes to build a wall.
I just wish I could tell you that all of us made it home alive.
