Mr. Hogeland destroys the myths, tramples the fairy tales and truly gets down to the nitty gritty of the financial founding of America! His rare and insightful grasp of Alexander Hamilton, and his utmost importance to the existence of early America, are most refreshing. If inquisitive people were to read Michael Perelman's "The Invention of Capitalism" first, then "Founding Finance" they would most surely have a profound understanding of capitalism in general and capitalism in the origins of America specifically.
