Seductive, fearless, and outrageous, Serbian performance artist Marina Abramovic has been redefining art for nearly forty years. Using her body as a vehicle, she creates performances that challenge, shock, and move us. This is a mesmerizing journey into the world of radical performance and an intimate portrait of an astonishingly magnetic, endlessly intriguing woman who draws no distinction between life and art.

This is a fascinating documentary about an artist who has fearlessly created art that has shocked and delighted for decades. Although you may find some of the art projects uncomfortable or disturbing, you can't deny her innovative creativity at its heart.

This is a documentary on controversial performing artist Marina Abramovic. The film covers the entire span of 40 years but the emphasis is on her recent work in the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). It is a good documentary if you want to get to know this artist, and form your opinion on her and her work. However, as far as art goes, and me being fairly conservative in my choice of art forms, I have to say I like some of her work but find the rest pretentious, contrived, and too obsessed with raising eyebrows.

Easily one of the most important films I have seen as an artist. Those who belittle her or performances like this are incapable of going further than we allow ourselves. This is a brilliant woman doing a remarkable thing and the filmmakers treated the subject gracefully and poetically and, most importantly, with respect but not too much reverence.

A surprisingly emotional work. The film really helps to explain and contextualize performance art.

Sexual Content: Quite a bit of nudity as part of the art exhibition.
