Fun to read about the Dalai Lama's encounters with others, both formally and informally. Well-told stories and quite inspirational. I admire the Dalai Lama's pragmatic approach to helping solve problems--he's a realist.

Wonderful writing, with very personal encounters with the Dalai Lama, a person who has come to embody compassion. I enjoyed hearing the stories he told to groups of children, where he seems to really come alive. I'm looking forward to reading the earlier work, The Wisdom of Forgiveness.
