A very disappointing guide to writing a business plan, given the multiple editions. This particular edition is from 2017, which makes the outdated examples even more frustrating. The accompanying worksheets which are easily downloadable from the publisher's website are helpful. The general tone of the book is extremely verbose, with plenty of cringe-worthy libertarian quips which have no place in a how-to book. The author is misinformed regarding basic technology concepts and devotes little to no attention to absolutely essential business concepts in this age, such as SEO, social media marketing strategy, and investment. The author is also extremely misleading as to the ease of obtaining a bank loan for new small businesses.

After reading this book in conjunction with many other business books, I highly recommend going elsewhere, especially for an inexperienced businessperson or someone new to the realm. This book may have been suitable in the 1980's, but certainly isn't now.
