LL Cool J, Missy Elliott, Method Man, Lil' Kim, Beastie Boys, Mobb Deep - a few were mentioned or not mentioned but none were interviewed. One critic slammed this film because it didn't address lyrical content like misogyny or pay homage to blues music. This is NOT a film about the history or content of rap but about how different artists approach their craft. It didn't do a great job but this film deserved a high rating for an awesome soundtrack, interesting impromptu performances, and some seriously funny moments. There should be a sequel.
