Every four seconds a romance novel published by Harlequin or its British counterpart, Mills and Boon, is sold somewhere. Guilty Pleasures takes an amusing and touching look at this global phenomenon. Ironies abound in the contrasts between the everyday lives of the books' readers and the fantasy worlds that offer them escape. Guilty Pleasures portrays five romance devotees who must, ultimately, find their dreams in the real world.

The $17.34 to make this movie was about $15 too high.
Gave no insight into the writing or the reading of romance novels.

A show about average ordinary people from across the globe who love the books.
You will never look at the Harlequin books the same way again.
An Eye-opener so to speak, and worth watching.

Just as I suspected... Harlequin romance novels are really written by fat, bald guys named Archibald Trenblist under phony names like Cassandra Jenson!

An interesting documentary touching on the lives of people who write Harlequin romance novels, people who are on the front cover and the people with every day lives who read them.

A wonderful exploration of a large part of the reading world that I never think about !!
