If you are curious and a scientist or a historian at heart, this one is for you.. Fascinating finds and new technologies shown as well..Dr. Ballard argues that the life on the ocean is more plausible and more likely for the humans than a life on the Mars..Well-done!

A good collection from Doctor Ballard that delves into the ocean and its place in our lives. Each episode turns to different themes- shipwrecks, life in the strangest of places, the role the ocean plays in our future, volcanic activity- and Ballard and his colleagues are obviously passionate and engaged about their work. The best episode of the lot is the bonus material, actually, a feature length documentary in which Ballard goes into the waters near the Gallipoli peninsula and examines the wrecks that date back to the infamous World War One battle.

71% of the planet is covered in water. 95% of the worlds oceans is yet to be explored. Bob Ballard really tries hard to share this unexplored ocean though cutting edge technologies. You can clearly see his passion to go where no one has gone before. as Bob Ballard uncovers lost ancient ships to future ocean cities.

I was really impress of the use of technology to remote view the ocean explorations from the comfort of his home and main office. He's in constant contact with his ship and crew when he is away.

Another thing I liked about the DVD was the repurposing of a retired oil rig for living on the ocean.Workers have lived on these proven platforms for many years, why can we?

I expected more underwater scenery and less above water talking.
