But that changes when the leader of the neighborhood gang recruits him to play on the nearby sandlot field. All the talk around this year's MLB All-Star Game has brought up a lot of personal baseball memories for me, like how I was so excited to meet Andre Dawson as a kid or how I spent 10 years of my childhood swinging a bat. The Sandlot is a great movie for kids and adults. It doesn't matter whether you enjoy baseball or, like me, have zero interest in it. The movie has some very funny moments. Its narrative style is similar to A Christmas Story and The Wonder Years TV series. The Sandlot is rated PG for some language and kids chewing tobacco.

If there is one movie I have seen about 100 times than it is the Sandlot. Being a childhood favorite, I have seen this many many times and not once have I gotten bored of it. It's a classic and will never be forgotten. It's 2 hours of a group of boys getting into mischief and causing all shorts of problems. The narration was awesome and the whole entire film is just hella fun.

This is one of the best movies for young baseball players. Highly recommend this one!

Remember kid, there's heroes and there's legends: Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. Follow your heart kid, and you can never go wrong.
