Every fan of hard-boiled crime novels should read the entire Parker series by Richard Stark, aka Donald E. Westlake. Each novel is a continuation of the previous one and a prequel to the succeeding one. Reading all of them is much like reading one long story in installments. Each story is as good as the others. All of them are entertaining. All of them are near masterpieces of the writer's art. The Score is no different...it is excellent!
