One of my very favorite Janet Jackson songs of all-time is "When I Think Of You" (Nothing else seems to matter), which dates all the way back to 1986 with Janet's very first album "Control".

Right from the very beginning of her highly-successful musical career as a remarkable singer and songwriter, Janet Jackson (born in 1966) has proved, time and again, that she can really rock with the very best in the business.

Never once being overshadowed or up-staged by her brother Michael's celebrated pop-music status (when he was alive), Janet has always remained at the very forefront of dance, fashion and music in today's pop-culture frenzy.

This impressive 2-CD collection covers the first twenty years of Janet's spectacular music career from 1986 to 2006. Containing 34 songs, these 2 CDs feature such smash, #1 hits as - Rhythm Nation, Escapade, Scream (with bro Michael), All Nite, and Feedback, to name but a few.

Listened to Design of a Decade 1986/1996 prior to this; THIS comp is an extension of it (with "add-ons") and it does hold up well. Want to listen to "good times" of this artist, I highly recommend listening to Number 1s!

Janet, although she never really rose above the standard of an amateur singer, had the connections to have the best people write and produce her albums. Her constant giggling thru out her various songs is a secret signal to the listener that it's so very funny that someone with as little talent as she has could pull off a string of "Number 1's"
