This is a book of missed potential...it is repetative without adding insight, and at times unclear. People interviewed are often not introduced sufficiently with context, so the continuity of the narrative is lost. Also, so many arabic words are used that a glossary would have been helpful. finally, the role of Israel in the process he describes is far to short to be meaningful. This is really is a long piece ideal for the New Yorker which went on too long.
