Its not a horrible book and I read it fairly quickly so it kept my interested, but it was kinda weird how everyone wanted to kill her and made attempts on her life, all except the one they claimed wanted to kill her... I will continue on in the series as my OCD yells finish the series.

Wow I couldn't finish this. I tried really hard to like this novel, but no, it was just not for me. I usually enjoy supernatural novels, but this one's stuffed full of immature, whinny children. I didn't like any of the main characters and the plot was boring and drawn out.

Nora Grey was never looking for love, just to get through high school, living with her mom's crazy job and dealing with the death of her father. Until Patch is introduced into her life. Patch draws out a side of Nora that she never knew she had, but with that comes a lot of stressful situations that turns Nora's life upside down.
This series is my absolute favourite book series, the story is so original and captivating that I read these books in a day because you always want to know what's going to happen next. I immediately fell in love with Patch's and Nora's relationship, they're so different from one another which makes it interesting to read how they interact. Rating 5 out of 5 stars

I honestly liked Nora a lot more in this book than I did in the other ones. For one, she seems more relatable to me; someone who has not yet found her soulmate. Her intentions and motives are purely done from a logical perspective and an interesting personality. For some reason, I found that after the first part of the second book, she changes a lot. Maybe the author wrote the other books more consecutively closer, or it is just my friend and I over-imagining things. But for those who are just satisfied with this book, no one will criticize you for not choosing to read the next few. I did, and enjoyed them, but not as much as this one. This book just has that charm to it, much like Patch himself. 5/5 stars.

This is one of my all time favs!!! It has the perfect mix of high school, paranormal things, and a little romance! I would defiantly suggest for teens. Overall, this book was amazing. The first time I got it I read it twice in a day!!

If you admire heroines who are irresistibly sexually attracted to men who are attempting to kill them, and repeatedly call said murderer for help based on their hormones rather than the evidence against them, then this is the book for you.

Yet another book in a long list of teenage romances in which our young women are taught that it is acceptable to be in a romantic relationship with a man who treats them badly - in this book, he even admits to planning on killing her. And yet, she just keeps coming back for more...

This book was so different from any other book I've ever read, and Fitzpatrick did an amazing job at describing what went on in the book. I'm waiting for the second book, now.

This book is worth reading, but not my favourite. So, this is my second time reading this book and I really enjoyed it the first time. But, this time I just couldn't get past certain details from the other books in the series. I actually wish that I had not read this book again. That said, it was good the first time and I liked it as a series up until book three. If you like angels and fantasy books, then I would read this book.

One word for this book: Cringe-worthy. If you were able to read this book and love it then you must have a lot of patience. I started to read the first book. i was very open-minded and tried to be optimistic. But the book wasn't for me. I was literally trying to avoid reading the book.

Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment. but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Nora, a high school sophomore in a small town has always been quiet, catious. When Patch shows up in her lufe, things quickly change. Dealing with the undeniable attraction she doesn't want to exist, Nora finds herself doing things with Patch that she never thought she would do with anyone. seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide wheather she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For she is right in the middle of an ancient battl;e between the immortal and those who have fallen --and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.

Fitzpatrick skillfully keeps readers on their toes with every turn of the page. Nora Grey has never considered romance as a part of her life, but when she gets a new lab partner in biology her world gets turned on one side. She begins to feel an unexplainable attraction towards Patch. Is this the beginning of a fairytale romance or the start of a disaster?

“You smell good, too,” said Patch

It’s called a shower.” I was staring straight ahead. When he didn’t answer, I turned sideways. “Soap. Shampoo. Hot water.”

Naked. I know the drill.”

leah_p Dec 30, 2011

He waited a few counts before answering. His voice was low, emotions untraceable. "You know I'm hiding things." There was a question attached to it.

I knew Patch lived a life of closed doors and harboured secrets. I wasn't presumptuous enough to think even half of them revolved around me. Patch lived a different life outside the one he shared with me. More than once I'd speculated what his other life might be like. I always got the feeling that the less I knew about it, the better.

Patch's eyes were black orbs. Taking in everything and giving away nothing. Not that I wanted to know more about Patch. Since I hadn't liked what I'd seen on the surface, I doubted I'd like what was lurking deep inside. Only this wasn't exactly true. I'd liked a lot of what I'd seen. Long, lean muscles down his arms, broad but relaxed shoulders, and a smile that was part playful, part seductive. I was in an uneasy alliance with myself, trying to ignore what had started to feel irresistible.
