After more than three decades eluding justice, the man who murdered Jacobia "Jake" Tiptree's mother is finally about to stand trial--until he vanishes into thin air. Jake has a terrible foreboding of where Ozzie Campbell will turn up next. And while the local police chief is sure she's overreacting, the truth is far worse than even Jake's worst fears.

Add a CommentI agree. Its too far fetched to believe all these mysteries befall this particular woman and her friends. It's kind of boring now.
o.k. I could not read this book. I think I am tired of having Jake as the target in almost every book and this time Elie's child is dragged into this ..no. This is too much. I have to stop reading these series which seemed more light-hearted and funny in the earlier books. Too bad, because I do like the location and the characters but surely even in Eastport another target for malfeasance could be found amongst the locals.
