I really liked this movie! Nora Ephron did a wonderful job (as always) directing this and the plot was really cute. I haven't read the book yet, but I enjoyed seeing the story come to life and the way it switches back and forth from present day to Julia Child and her husband.

Loved the bit about Julia Child - what an inspiration, and excellently played by Meryl Streep. The Julie character was just plain annoying.

Love this movie, great for foodies or anyone who remembers their mom watching "The French Chef". I watch it at least once a year. Superb cast and acting.

Excruciating! could have been a really enjoyable movie, but that Julia Child voice is like a million fingernails on a million chalkboards. The real Julia Child had a peculiar voice, but it didn't induce the same amount of pain!

Julie embarks on a life changing adventure while cooking her way through Julia's cookbook. It was fun to watch but it really gives you ideas for your own future and how you could change it.

Delightful!

This is a feel-good movie about French food, cookbook writing, and early 2000's blogging. The film depicts the story of Julia Child's work to introduce French cuisine to housewives in America. Alongside this story is one of a young writer who takes on Julia's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" as a year long project. She'll cook each recipe in the span of one year and blog about it. The film is light and sweet like a dollop of whipped cream!
